The Ferrar family has been linked to the world of wine for six generations. From the beginning of the 19th Century, their ancestors sailed on ships loaded with wine from the port of Vilanova i la Geltrú (Catalonia) headed to Havana, Cuba. This wine, produced by Castell de Pujades, from the famous wine producing region of Penedès, is a Classic Penedès sparkling wine from 2013 made with 100% classic Penedès Xarel-lo grapes from a vineyard over 50 years old as well as being 100% ecological. It has a limited production of 2,419 bottles.
Created by the design agency Made by Us, the label of this Reserve wine is in memory of their ancestors. Inspired by old naval maps, the design project is featuring the Bergantín Urania ship they use to transport the wine with.
For this special wine, an equally special self-adhesive paper was needed: Ispira Nero Mistero Ultra WS, produced by Arconvert. Ispira Nero Mistero, is a self-adhesive natural pure cellulose, chlorine-free (ECF) paper of extraordinary quality with a surface finish that is especially soft to the touch. A self-adhesive paper specially produced by Arconvert, which thanks to the Ultra WS treatment on the front label, avoids the formation of wrinkles and reduces the absorption of water on the surface of the paper.
To create an even more luxurious label, the printer experts of Vidal i Armadans embellished this label with a gold hot-foil and embossing.
